We are a safe haven, a place of rest for the weary, and a place where daily physical and spiritual needs may be met. Desert AIDS Project http://www.desertaidsproject.org/ Desert AIDS Project provides medical care and comprehensive support services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the desert community. Free, confidential, rapid-result HIV testing is available, as well as counseling, home health services, legal assistance and assistance with housing, medications, food, re-employment and more. Guide Dogs of the Desert provides safe mobility, loving companionship and the "miracle of independence" to the blind through the use of a guide dog. Hearing devices are very costly and regardless of the economic state of our country there are many financially challenged people who are withdrawing from life simply because they cannot hear. Helping People Hear Again is a non-profit organization focused on the refurbishment of donated used hearing devices and re-fitting them for those in need at no cost of any type to the recipients.
